As parents of a golf player, we’ve always felt that girls (and kids in general) have always been kind of misunderstood in regards to what they need to wear (and what they need to listen to) for an optimal sports performance.
It’s always been a hard endeavor to find great looking golf apparel for our daughter, that not only fits great but also with gorgeous designs, vivid colors, trendy, and with the looks that the sport of golf merits.
In the case of Lucia, or Luty, as they call her in school (the younger of our girls in the picture), she’s always been passionate about golf and she’s loved the sport since day one when she was about 6 years old.
Ana (the mom) has always been one that loves to see their girls in style, looking cute and feminine. You have no idea how much she “suffered” when she had to leave the girls with Andres (the dad) for a few days due to a business trip, because she knew that during those days the girls were going to be dressed or better yet, “disguised” with whatever their dad first found in their wardrobe.
Ana coming from a family where most of her aunts have dedicated their lives to produce and sell handcrafted clothing, somehow developed a liking for the design of blouses, dresses, tops… and since our girls were pretty young, she’s designed and sewed for them (and their dolls too), the most beautiful clothing you can think of.
With that in mind we decided to design and make some golf outfits for Lucia (with no brand, of course) without ever imagining the reaction from other moms, as they wanted to pay Ana (the mom) to do the same for their girls.
That’s when we started thinking about a possible brand and began the process of debating how we could nourish the idea so that the brand was not only about clothing, but also about mindset transformation. We asked ourselves, how could the brand positively impact our girl’s attitude toward the sport and transcend to other areas of their young lives?
That was our Hole in One moment.
